Employee engagement surveys are a useful, point in time measure of how people are feeling about their work.  A recent meta-analysis by Gallup (State of the Global Workplace: 2024 Report) found that only around 30% of Australian workers are actively engaged.  Given that employee engagement is associated with higher levels of wellbeing and a range of measures associated with organisational success, engagement matters a great deal.
