To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Worklogic team in Melbourne spent some time enjoying a delicious afternoon tea while writing letter’s to the important women in our lives.
Worklogic is a unique workplace, not just because good workplace culture is championed and nurtured but because we have a predominantly female identifying staff. We are fortunate to work in a team of highly skilled, passionate people from all walks of life.
For this International Woman’s Day, we wanted to thank some of the important women in our lives while thinking about this years theme for IWD – Inspire Inclusion. As an inclusive workplace, this theme resonates with us as we know by empowering women and allowing them to feel inspired, they are in a position to forge a better world.
For our IWD afternoon tea, we wrote letters of thanks to some of the women in our lives, who blazed the trail for a better world. We shared stories of grandmothers, aunts, mentors and teachers who helped us in our own lives, while enjoying a delicious afternoon tea. (We love a sweet treat!)
Some fascinating stories emerged and we felt a distinct sense of gratitude to these women who impacted our lives. Writing a letter, whether you send it or not, is a great way to pay homage to a loved one and was a lovely way to celebrate International Women’s Day.
